brochure: Mountain and Desert Photography Cover Headline: Get Close to Wild Action in Great Light... First spread - intro: You love capturing the perfect wildlife image. But you face an uncomfortable choice. Spend big bucks for a huge lens. Or learn enough to get closer, an uncertain process. I can show you how. I’m Mark Bohrer (rhymes with roar). I’ve photographed everything from the smallest waterbirds to one and a half-ton bison. I can help you find relaxed young wildlife begging, hunting and playing. Then get as close as you want for a kissing squirrel pair or a hunting egret with his catch of the day. You’re there in warm light with just enough shadows to make every line of fur or feather stand out. Swivel your camera... aim your longest lens... place the action where you want it... and gently squeeze the shutter! With today’s digital SLRs and their lens cropping factors, you don’t need a giant lens to pull in wild subjects. Even with film, if you know which animals will let you approach and how to do it, you can go close without budget-busting optics. Then I can show you a workflow that lets you quickly choose the best pictures and enhance them. You’ll make your own prints of your favorites to enjoy every day. What could be better than that? | |

Very happy with the delivery time.” - Allyson Linehan, ConocoPhillips Fifth spread - intro: Who is Mark Bohrer? Mark’s been photographing wildlife and nature in the western United States for several years. He’s photographed many species, from young water birds begging from their parents long after they’re able to feed themselves, to male Belding’s ground squirrels busily eating to put on weight before they estivate in July. Mark’s pictures have been used by Waterbrook Press/Random House, Forbes.com, Chick Magazine, Worldcup Supply, and Birder’s World. Mark holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Illinois. His 25 years in the semiconductor industry gave him a good understanding of digital cameras. His extensive time in the field taught him the best ways to use them.
